Talk about “computer desk music”… Me and a couple of friends we rent a rehearsal space that barely fits a drum set, 3 cabs and 4 people; the isolation from other rooms in the same complex is enough for you to not hear someone speaking on the other room but not much more than that and we pay 250€ per month for it. And we are the lucky ones, those spaces are nearly impossible to find, a garage in my area will cost you above 10k EUR

I bought an Marshall Origin 20 during lockdown and it's a fantastic amp. All tube and plenty loud enough. You can get plexi adjacent sounds from it and combined with a power soak you can run it at full tilt without pissing off the neighbours too much.

Bugera sounds great but I have read a lot of reviews condemning them for gigging purposes, as they are known to break easily

The JCM series is said to only sound good if you play them LOUD and sound crappy if they are played at practice volumes, especially the 900

Glenn great video, ive watched you for years and we share the same problem. Everyone says we are too loud lol. I love all the advice you give, im actually going to ask a question. Im wanting to do some recording and composing. Im overwhelmed by all the gear and im just a dumb bass player lol. Im doing a home studio, i will be doing small recordings sessions but also want to do an entire band. Im struggling deciding on an interface. Im not looking at budget models because you get what you pay for. That being said ive recently gotten excited seeing the tascam model 24 mixer with built in recording. Whats your opinion on it for my uses and any other options you recommend. Im all ears. Thanks for all the content and education, cant wait for more. 🎉

I know someone worked in the Gibson factory for years. He’s the kind of guy who likes to take cheap guitars and get as much out of them as he can, so he’s a big fan of Squier and Epiphone. Whenever his time at Gibson comes up, he goes on about how they wanted everything set up to “vintage spec” which really comes down to mile-high action, and how Japan (Yes, not just a Japanese based company, but the nation of Japan) would send the guitars back with the headstocks sawn off as a fuck-you way of saying “Do it again but do it right this time.” I think it speaks volumes that someone who worked assembly at Gibson would still rather play a used, souped up Squier.

People have short attention spans now-a-days. Nobody's going to watch a 9-hour RUclips video. Don't waste your time with super long videos.
